The Plants Won't Die
Attempt to survive an endless bullet hell, juggling between weapons with limited ammo and going for the highest score possible. Kill more enemies to get more points, but be wary of George, an ever-evolving, dangerous, insane son of a bush who just doesn't seem to go down no matter what you do. But, that doesn't mean he isn't worth some points. In fact, he may be worth the MOST points...

Love it, the art is very cute. The puns on bushes and shrub names got me good.
Before * SPOILER * I had no Idea that the names were puns.
The gameplay is nice, I like that each plant drops a weapon that's special to their style, so you could strategize. The dodge is a bit difficult to master.
It was hard to understand that the blue line was ammo.
I could not find a way to regain health. That would be great to extend the length of a run.
With more enemies it's get exponentially laggy because of the bullets that get spawned.
The use of the theme is nice and all in all the game was very fun to play. 8/10
Yeah the readability on stats, weapons, and on the only way to regenerate health are all things I regret with this jam. I want to focus on better readability for my next game
Killing the 4 leaf clovers completely resets your HP, but the only tell ended up being some green particles on your player. I wish I had at least had the words "Healed" flash over the player's head or something, but, you live and you learn.
And yeah, lag was something I worried about. I only ran into mild issues in testing but I knew with enough skill it could get worse.
Still, I'm very glad you enjoyed it! Thank you so much for playing and genuinely thank you for the critiques~
